중국 시가는 B.C. 3,000여년 전의 ‘詩經’ 및 楚辭에서 발원한 후 한대의 樂府詩?古體詩?五七言 近體詩로 발전을 거듭하면서 중국문학의 중심을 차지해왔다. 본 강좌는 ‘시경’·초사 이후의 한대의 악부시 및 고체시, 위진대를 거치면서 근간이 잡힌 후 당대에 들어 李白?杜甫?王維?白居易 등의 천재 시인을 배출하며 극성한 당대의 근체시 및 歐陽修?蘇軾?黃庭堅 등의 걸출한 시인을 배출한 송대 이후의 근체시를 대상으로, 개별 작품의 분석·감상·비평 및 작가론·시대별 시풍·중국시가사·중국시가연구방법론 등에 대한 연구를 중심으로 진행된다.

This course provides students with opportunities to read and analyze the works of such masters as Li Bai, Du Fu, Wang Wei, and Bai JuYi to expand the students’ understanding of Chinese poetry.

이 과목은 역대의 중국 희곡 작품에 대한 시대별·작가별 심층 연구를 위해 개설되었다. 중국 희곡은 중당시기 이후 상공업 발전의 결과로 성립된 시민 사회의 점증하는 문화적 욕구에 발맞춰 발전한 講唱(노래와 사설이 혼합된 형식의 민간연예의 일종)을 모태로 하여 원대에 들어서 잡극이란 완정한 형태로 정착된다. 이후 중국 희곡은 명대에 들어 傳奇라는 새로운 형태로 전개되었으며, 청대에 들어서는 花部戱?京劇 등으로 세분되며 전개되었다. 본 강좌는 19세기 말 서구의 현대적인 희곡이 수입되기 이전까지의 각종 전통 희곡을 대상으로 작품의 분석·감상·비평 및 작가론·희곡사·희곡연구사 등에 대한 연구를 주요내용으로 한다.

XiQu, or Chinese opera, was given life by people’s cultural demands in a time of rapid economic growth. This course studies individual writers and their works before Western Drama was introduced. It will place special focus on writers’ interaction with culture and society.

Students will be given a variety of Chinese thoughts and works, mainly the 8 masters of the Tang Song dynasty. Students will use the given resources and texts to gain a systematic understanding of Chinese prose.

This course is designed to introduce comprehensive and full realities of theories of literature in Pre-Modern China, selectively investigating important literary documents and theories in areas such as poetry, history of literature and chinese literary. This course investigates literary documents and theories dating from Qin to Qing dinasty and also deals with modern research on theories of literature in Pre-Modern china. Given that the quantity and length of the period stated is too broad, this course selects various subjects of critical issues in classical literature and proceeds with providing systematic knowledge, insights and application capabilities regarding theories of literature in Pre-Modern China. Therefore subjects differ every semester and subtitles will be provided publicly in advance. Depending on the subtitle, this course would include reading original texts, holding discussions and seminars about specific subjects, reading related thesis, critical reading and writing essays.

사(詞)는 송대에 성행한 운문을, 곡(曲) 곧 산곡(散曲)은 원대에 유행한 운문이다. 둘 다 민간에서 비롯되어 성행한 민간의 가요를 문인계층이 창작함으로써 시와 더불어 중국 운문의 대표적인 장르로 정착되었다. 이 강좌는 사와 산곡에 대한 체계적인 이해와 감상 및 분석을 수행하기 위해 개설된 교과목이다. 작품 강독을 위주로, 매 학기 달리 설정된 주제에 준하는 연구 논저의 비판적 읽기와 에세이 작성 등을 병행한다.

Ci poetry is a lyric poetry prevalent in Song Dinasty and Sanqu Literature is a popular poetry in Yuan Dinasty. Both were lyrics developed from anonymous popular songs and created by literary classes into a representative chinese poetic literary genre. This course intends to provide a systematic understanding and analysis of poetry and literature. Based on readings of poetry works, this course will offer different thesis every semester and critical readings and essay writing would be required.

여기서의 현대문학(modern literature)은 근대문학과 당대문학(contemporary literature)을 포괄한다. 곧 1840년 아편전쟁 이후부터 5.4신문화운동, 중화인민공화국 수립 및 개혁개방 이후를 거쳐 지금에 이르는 시기의 문학 전반을 지시한다. 이 강좌에서는 중국현대문학에 대해 중국 및 기타 지역에서 수행한 이론적 고찰의 실제를 비판적 혹은 발생적으로 고찰한다. 수업은 중국현대문학이론 관련 원전 및 연구논저의 강독과 비판적 읽기 및 에세이 작성 등을 중심으로 진행된다.

This course will include modern and contemporary chinese literature, namely from the 1840's Opium War, the May Fourth Movement, the establishment of People's Republic of China, the Reform and Opening up until hte present day. This course aims at investigating Modern chinese literature studies carried on in China and other regions.

중국문헌학은 전통시기 ‘소학(小學)’이라 불리던 학문분야를 뜻한다. 여기에는 문자학, 훈고학, 교감학, 판본학, 서지학, 성운학, 금석학 등의 다양한 분야가 포함된다. 본 강좌에서는 별도의 교과목으로 다루는 문자학을 제외한 모든 분야를 다룬다. 이를 통해 중국의 문헌 자료를 “실사구시”적으로 다룰 수 있는 능력을 함양하며, 중국 학술의 흐름을 양분했던 소학에 대한 지성사적 접근을 수행할 수 있는 밑바탕을 구축하는 것이 본 강좌의 주요 목표이다.

Chinese Philology refers to the science of traditional elementary learning. This includes studies of character, historical research, exegetical studies, xylography, bibliography, nebular hypothesis, epigraph, etc. This course includes every subject of traditional elementary learning with the exception of Studies of Chinese Character which is dealt in a separate subject. Through this course students will be able to develop capabilities to deal with chinese ancient documentary records and build up a groundwork for intellectual approach to chinese philology which was the mainstream of chinese science.

In this course we will explore ZhuZiBaiJia. We will read various texts and documents by Laozi, Zhuangzi, HanFeizi, and Mozi, and examine them in depth.

강창(講唱)은 당대 중엽 무렵부터 활성화된 설창(說唱)이라고도 불리는 공연 예술의 초기 형태이다. 주로 한 편의 이야기를 비교적 간단한 반주에 맞춰 노래도 하고 구연도 하는 형식으로 공연됐던 것으로 보인다. 본 강좌에서는 그 초기 형태인 변문(變文)부터 보권(寶卷), 탄사(彈詞), 고사(鼓詞) 등에 이르는 중심으로 강창의 사적 흐름을 살펴보고, 그 바탕 위에서 주요 작품을 강독, 감상하고 분석한다. 또한 공연예술 관련 이론의 지평 위에서 개개 작품에 대한 비평을 시도하고, 이를 토대로 강창의 사적인 의의와 현재적 가치 등을 규명한다.

The Chinese Traditional Oral Performance Arts is an early form of Oral Performance Art’srevived since the Middle Ages. In this Oral Performance Art, the development of a story appears to have been performed through sings and narrations accompanied by simple music. This course investigates the historical development of the Oral Permance Arts from the earliest ages and it analyses representative art works. Moreover this course aims at examining the historical importance of performance art heritage and its modern understanding through looking at performance arts theories and critiques.

China encompasses a broad and varied literature dating back from myths and fables of ancient times, to the Southern and Northern Dynasty tales, Tang Dynasty bibliographical stories and Song Dynasty novels. This course investigates the historical development of the Chinese Traditional Novels from the earliest ages and it analyses representative art works. Moreover this course aims at examining the historical importance of Traditional Novel heritage and its modern understanding through looking at novel theories and critiques of all ages and countries.

사부는 초사(楚辭)와 한부(漢賦)를 말한다. 초사는 전국시대 중엽 무렵에 굴원(屈原)이란 불세출의 시인이 읊은 등과 이를 모방하여 창작한 운문을 가리킨다. 한부는 한대에 들어 초사의 큰 영향 아래 새로이 고안된 운문과 산문의 중간 형태의 문체를 가리킨다. 이 둘은 그 연원과 속성이 유사하여 ‘사부’라고 병칭되면서, 전통시기 중국문학이 미학적, 예술적 성취를 일구는 데에 크게 이바지하였다. 본 강좌에서는 사부의 발생과 전개 등의 사적 흐름을 살펴보고, 그 바탕 위에서 주요 작품을 강독, 감상하고 분석한다. 또한 이와 관련된 기존의 연구논저를 비판적으로 검토함으로써, 사부의 사적인 의의와 현재적 가치 등을 규명한다.

The Chuci Literature refers to poems created from imitation of poems such as Li Sao of the buddhist poet Qu Yuan during the Warring States Period. Hanfu Literature refers to a middle literary style between poetry and prose newly conceived from the great influence of the period of anxiety. Both have similar origins and characteristics and they contributed a lot in gaining aesthetic and artistic success. This course investigates the historical development of Chuci & Hanfu Literature from the earliest ages and it analyses representative art works. Moreover this course aims at examining the historical importance of Chuci & Hanfu Literature heritage and its modern understanding through looking at comparative thesis regarding its literature.

This course analyses documentary records and writings dating from Ancient China to the Spring and Autumn Period. During this period ‘literature’ was not a specialized field and for that reason this course covers mixed documents and writings regarding intellectual, cultural, societal phenomena of the era. This course is based on critical reading of thesis regarding documents of the Qing Dinasty and its history of culture and intellect of the period. Presentations, seminars and essay writings will be included in the course.

This course covers literary works and archives from the medieval period of China: Han(漢), Wei Jin, Northern and Southern dynasties(魏晉南北朝), Tang(唐), Five dynasties and Ten Kingdoms(五代十國), Song(宋), Liao(遼), and Jin(金). The purpose of the course is to obtain foundational knowledge of literary works as well as the intellectual, cultural and societal heritage reflected in literary traditions. Students will read major pieces of medieval Chinese literature and do critical reviews of research on the cultural and intellectual history of the medieval era. Presentations, seminars and essay writings will be also required.

This course covers documents dating from the Yuan Dinasty, followed by the Ming Dynasty and finally to the Qing Dynasty. Contemporary China dates from the 1917 Cultural Revolution and the 1919 May Fourth Movement to the present day. This course deals with documents of the period. This course deals with cultural and literary exchanges between China and Korea from traditional times to the present. It examines broadly human, cultural, intellectual exchanges from comparative studies of representative works or authors. The main purpose of this course is to develop capabilities to understand critically and objectively the comprehensive area of East Asia and Chinese Character cultivated countries.

This course proposes to deal with various theories and practices of Chinese Literature Research. Chronologically it encompasses from the research methodology of traditional ages of Chinese Character cultivated cultures to the present day. Regionally it deals with research methodology used in Chinese dominated regions such as China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Chinese border regions such as Korea and Japan and other regions developed by the influence of China such as England, US and France. Given that the quantity and length of the period stated is too broad, this course selects various subjects of critical issues in Research Methodology of Chinese Literature and proceeds with providing systematic knowledge, insights and application capabilities regarding Research of Chinese Literature . Therefore subjects differ every semester and subtitles will be provided publicly in advance. Depending on the subtitle, this course would include reading original texts, holding discussions and seminars about specific subjects, reading related thesis, critical reading and writing essays.

본 강좌에서는 시대와 사회의 주요 인문적 화두를 능동적으로 다룰 수 있는 시의적이고도 구체적인 주제를 선정하여, 이를 역대 중국의 문헌을 중심으로 다룬다. 본 강좌는 특정 주제에 대해 ‘통합 학문적’고찰 위에 ‘읽기’와 ‘다시 쓰기’를 중심으로 진행된다.

This course studies in depth successive generations of chinese texts and it selects specific and occasional subjects that can actively deal with the generation’s society and topics in humanities. This course is centered on ‘reading’ and ‘re-writing’ the comprehensive study of knowledge.

전통시기 한자문화권의 경우, 문학은 문화의 근간이자 지식의 핵이었다. 따라서 문학연구는 문화사와 지성사의 맥락에서 다면적으로 수행할 필요가 있다. 본 강좌에서는 중국의 역대 문헌 가운데 이러한 작업을 수행할 수 있는 텍스트를 선정하여, 문학과 문화 및 학술(지식) 사이의 상관성을 고찰한다.

In the traditional ages, literature was considered as the root and center of cultural knowledge. Therefore the study of literature is essential in learning the various facets of the history of culture and knowledge. This course is intended to express the relationship between literature and culture-knowledge through examining selected texts closely related to this topic.

본 강좌에서는 역대 중국의 시가, 산문, 소설, 희곡, 신화 등에 담겨 있는 중국문화의 원형을 발굴, 정리하고 이를 문학적으로 변용한 역사와 그 실제 및 기제를 다룬다.

The purpose of this course is to discover the archetype of Chinese Culture and its historical and present literary transformation in areas such as poetry, novel, prose, drama and myth.

문학에 대한 문학사회학적 접근을 토대로, 역대 중국에서 중국문학이 생산되고 유통, 향유되어온 사회적 기제를 다룬다. 또한 문학적, 인문학적 관심사와 사회학적 관심사가 교차하는 지점에서 개개 텍스트 및 주제에 대한 다채로운 분석을 시도한다.

Based on Literary and Social approach of Chinese Literature, this course aims at showing the social mechanisms used to explain the chinese successive generations of literary production, circulation and enjoyment. This course also attempts to give varied analysis to the texts and topics intersecting literary, cultural and social interests.

본 강좌에서는 언어에 대한 철학적, 지성사적, 사회학적 접근을 통해, 고대중국어〔한문〕와 현대중국어에 반영된 중국인의 사고방식을 미시적이고도 실증적으로 다룬다. 이를 통해 중국인의 사유형식을 논리적으로 재구성하고, 이에 미친 제반 인자를 고찰하는 것이 본 강좌의 주요 목표이다.

This course is intended to provide a philosophical, intellectual and social approach to the Chinese Language, dealing with detailed and empirical methods to explore the way of thinking reflected in ancient chinese characters as well as in present chinese language. The purpose of this course is to reconstruct the logic in the way of thinking of chinese people and to examine its factors and roots.

본 강좌는 대학원생들을 대상으로 효과적인 논문 작성법을 지도하기 위해 개설되었다. 수강생들은 지도교수의 지도 아래 논문 작성법을 훈련받게 된다.
